'Revelation 3:8' - 2023, illegal eviction of the Shadwell Autonomous Winter Shelter "For 6 months we lived there, in that abandoned nunnery. The last time I ever laid eyes upon my home was with my belongings scattered across the street, my friends contained behind a police line and riot police having shattered every inch of the community we had built. I don't know if you ever really recover from that, you desensitise and you move on, eventually you go through more evictions that cast a shadow over the memory of those before but every now and again there is an eviction that you just don't ever come round from and it haunts you." “I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name." - 'Revelation 3:8'
'Love Thy Neighbour' - 2023, Illegal eviction of the Shadwell Autonomous Winter Shelter. "Despite the ungodly scene of hundreds of riot police descending upon the neighbourhood, those who lived in the area came out to show their support for our squat. They too grieved with us, for we may have lost our home but they too had lost a part of their community."
'Glad goodbye' - February 2024, Clapham Autonomous Winter Shelter , Evicted after 3 months of living. "I felt relief actually when the bailiffs came to move us on. This squat had twisted my mind up in the most callous and cold of ways. There is not a single moment of peace or feeling of home that I can pinpoint throughout the whole winter I spent here. The interior dynamics were as loveless and careless as the garden our belongings were thrust into. There are nightmares that I relive but they aren't dreams, they are very real. "
'Faceless, Houseless' - December 2022, Eviction of the Waterloo Autonomous Winter Shelter and ACAB cafe, evicted after 2 months of living. "On the coldest day of the year, they placed their court papers on our door. They didn't need to do that, it was a sadistic choice made by an oligarch. We left with dignity before they could remove us but really, where is the dignity in being made homeless?"
'Predictable levelling down' - 2023, illegal eviction of the Shadwell Autonomous Winter Shelter. "Making us homeless wasn't enough. The police had to draw their batons, they had to hospitalise several people and they had to sew fear among the community because what we had created made them so very insignificant."
'Home is a person' - December 2024, Eviction after 6 months of living, North London. "It was a very unexpected eviction. I had awoke several hours prior in a state of panic after having dreamt of an eviction, I began packing my bags but stopped when I realised it had been in my head. Turns out it was to be more of a premonition than a dream because 4 hours later I was awoken by a squat-mate banging on my bedroom door to tell me that the front door had been battered down by bailiffs. It took us all day to clear out our belongings and gather all of the non-human residents. On to the next place we went because we are all the home we need."
'Peace on Earth' - 2023, Illegal eviction of the Shadwell Autonomous Winter Shelter "They hospitalised our friend during the eviction, they took him away without any of us to support him. Then they assaulted several people who just wanted to check on his welfare."
'All consumed' - 2023, Autonomous Winter Shelter, Shadwell street resistance party.
'RAID' - 2023, Illegal eviction of the Shadwell Autonomous Winter Shelter. "The eviction was illegal and their attempt to try and gather intelligence on a group of homeless people was too. I will never forget the way they peeled some people off into corners and asked them questions that they were not mandated to answer. This is of course after they had sent dogs and fully armoured riot police into our home unexpectedly."
'The last glory days' - 2023, Eviction preparation and banner drop from the Shadwell Autonomous Winter Shelter.

'The last glory days' - 2023, Eviction preparation and banner drop from the Shadwell Autonomous Winter Shelter.
'Mixed Emotions' - February 2024, Clapham Autonomous Winter Shelter , Evicted after 3 months of living. "Though there was no love lost when I was evicted from this place, there was still an anger I had to eventually face because the truth is that uniformed thugs can at any time descend upon the places we live. Everybody claims sympathy with the homeless until they're faced with us and then sadism is the only path they choose to walk."
'A civil dispute' - 2023, Illegal eviction of the Shadwell Autonomous Winter Shelter. "They brought riot shields, battering rams and Police dogs to what should have been a civil dispute in court. They showed little mercy, we will show no forgiveness"
'Oppose the inevitable' - 2022, Waterloo Autonomous Winter Shelter, Possession Hearing at the Royal Court of Justice. "It was unlikely we were ever going to stop the possession order being granted but in opposing the inevitable we did manage to buy ourselves a few extra days in the comfort of a place so many of us had grown to call home. Sometimes we must play the game, even though we know it is rigged."
'My Room' - 2023, Illegal eviction of the Shadwell Autonomous Winter Shelter. "I was escorted by several Police officers back into my bedroom to collect my belongings. My door had been kicked in and my belongings strewn across the room. All of my draws tipped out and bikes, trollies and other things from the corridor shoved onto my bed. My dirty washing and underwear had been strewn out for all to see. I packed up 9 months of my life with 2 male officers aggressively and forcefully hurrying me up. I got 15 minutes at most to bag up the lives of my two dogs and me."

2025, An occupied church in South London adorned with a Dennis Diderot inspired quote.
2023, Illegal eviction of the Shadwell Autonomous Winter Shelter. "The joy of inflicting homelessness upon 30+ people shines through the smiles of two riot officers."
'The last Cuppa' - Winter 2024, hours before an eviction after 2 months of living. "We knew the eviction was coming but sometimes you do not have defiance to spare, especially when you are bound to loose. So, sometimes we pack up and move on before the doors are angle-grinded by bailiffs. There is a middle ground between compliance and defiance, we are too often not able or not allowed to walk it."
'knock knock' - December 2024, Eviction after 6 months of living, North London. "They say that squatters cause damage, that we destroy the things we come across but they're wrong. We make home in places that others have left to rot, we love and live in forgotten places. It is bailiffs, it is the police who destroy the things they touch"
"Worse than bloody murder" - A squatted property in an upmarket neighbourhood of London, 2024. "They left this building abandoned for years and now we live here, they want to open it as a gun showroom. Wouldn't you rather live next door to homeless people than guns and bullets and their mascots or are we worse than bloody murder?"
